TROY, N.Y. -- While President Obama will be visiting the Capital Region next week, no tickets will be available to the public for his appearance at HVCC.

The president, accompanied by Vice President Joe Biden's wife, Dr. Jill Biden, will visit Hudson Valley Community College on Monday to talk about the importance of community colleges to economic recovery.

Dr. Biden, who has been teaching for nearly 30 years, is a faculty member at a community college in the D.C. area.

Monday's talk will be held in the Cogan Hall automotive lab and is by invitation only. The president will also tour some of the facilities within the Williams/Cogan Hall complex.

HVCC officials said that while they had hoped there would have been an opportunity for more student and staff involvement, they are honored to have the president visit their campus.
