Aqueduct Entertainment Group deal dead

Another controversy that's surrounded Governor Paterson, and the state legislature, has been the deal to let the Aqueduct Entertainment Group set up a slot machine casino at the Queens horse racing track. Porco appeal denied

Convicted murderer Christopher Porco's appeal has been denied. Albany District Attorney David Soares says the Second Department Appellate Division has unanimously affirmed the guilty verdict. Porco was convicted in 2006 of the murder of his father and the attempted murder of his mother inside their Delmar home in November 2004. Porco's defense attorney had submitted the appeal, which was heard in Brooklyn back in November. He argued the prosecution took shortcuts that led to the unfair conviction of his client. Porco Defense Attorney Terry Kindlon joined us with reaction to the court's ruling.
