SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Washington County teen now knows his fate after pleading guilty to slashing the throat of a City of Saratoga Springs police officer.
Seth Dawson, 19, will spend up to 14 years in state prison with three years supervision following his release. In January, Dawson pled guilty to assault and possession of a weapon.
Dawson slashed officer Adam Baker's throat with a razor blade while he was at the Four Winds Psychiatric facility back in September. Saratoga County District Attorney James Murphy praised witnesses, the Saratoga Springs Police Department and Four Winds for their good work and cooperation in the case.
