HUDSON FALLS, N.Y. -- Hudson Falls Middle School closed early Friday due to construction fumes leaking into the building.
School officials said several students complained of feeling ill and were sent home. Some students were taken to Glens Falls Hospital to be treated.
The school was evacuated shortly after 9 a.m.
Officials believe the fumes from tarring work being done on the roof leaked into the ventilation system.
Students from the middle school were dismissed at 1 p.m.
