Glens Falls mother pleads not guilty to charges

GLENS FALLS, N.Y. -- The mother of a baby boy who was beaten to death last week has pleaded not guilty to charges in connection with is death.


Alicia Lewie, 22, is charged with two counts of second-degree manslaughter, one count of first-degree reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child.

The mother of a baby boy who was beaten to death last week has pleaded not guilty to charges in connection with is death.
Police said the 7-month-old died at the hands of Lewie's roommate, Michael Flint, Jr. They said the abuse happened last week at their home on Bay Street where police believe Flint beat, choked and bit Colbi over two days.


Authorities said the charges against Lewie were upgraded because they said Lewie was aware the abuse was happening to Colbi but didn't report it. She is free on $50,000 bond.


Meanwhile, Flint pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder charges. He was sent back to the Warren County Jail without bail.
