Kiosk makes its debut along bike path

CAPITAL REGION, N.Y. -- A new trail kiosk was unveiled on the Mohawk-Hudson bike path along the Erie Canalway.


Colonie Town Supervisor Paula Mahan was joined by New York State Canal Corporation Director Carmella Mantello and members of the Mohawk River Community Partners. The interpretive kiosk, located on the bike path, near Colonie-Niskayuna town line, features the history of Colonie, a map and information about the natural inhabitants along the Mohawk.

A new trail kiosk was unveiled on the Mohawk-Hudson bike path along the Erie Canalway.
The kiosk project is one of 54 Erie Canal Greenway grants totaling $8.4 million.
