SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- A Schenectady man being held on burglary and weapons charges is now charged in connection with a murder on Bridge Street.
Eshon Guy, 32, was taken into custody following a burglary on Front Street on April 16. Police said Guy accidentally shot himself during the burglary and was taken into custody soon after and charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
A Schenectady man being held on burglary and weapons charges is now charged in connection with a murder on Bridge Street.
Police said evidence and information collected in the burglary investigation linked Guy to a fatal shooting that happened on April 15.
Guy is now charged with second-degree murder for the death of Anthony Brown, 27, who had been shot in the back and died a short time later at Albany Medical Center.
Guy was arraigned Tuesday and sent to the Schenectady County Jail without bail.
