60th ANNUAL ALBANY TULIP FESTIVAL>>
May 9, 10 & 11, 2008

Albany, New York - As a result of the City of Albany’s Tulip Festival and Pinksterfest, the following street closings and Emergency No Parking will be in effect. Public parking for Albany Tulip Festival will be available at various locations throughout the city and a shuttle is available at the Elk St. Garage.

No Parking – Thursday, May 8 – Sunday, May 11,2008

1.) EMERGENCY NO PARKING will be in effect on ALL PARK ROADWAYS from 6:00 PM on Thursday until 6:00 PM on Sunday. This is restricted to vendor parking with proper festival permit in window. VIOLATOR’S WILL BE TICKETED AND TOWED. (Streets include Lancaster, Albany Plan of Union Avenue and Sprague Place).

No Parking – Saturday, May 10 – Sunday, May 11, 2008

1.) Lincoln Park – Motor Coach parking only!

Closures - Friday, May 9, 2008

1.) State Street from Eagle to Lodge Street closed to traffic from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

2.) All streets in Washington Park west of Henry Johnson Blvd will be closed to traffic.

No Parking – Friday, May 9, 2008

3.) EMERGENCY NO PARKING will be in effect on both sides of State Street from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM (Eagle to Lodge Street). VIOLATORS WILL BE TICKETED AND TOWED.

Closures - Saturday, May 10 – Sunday, May 11, 2008

1.) All streets in Washington Park west of Willett St. will be closed to traffic.

2.) Lancaster Street and Hudson Ave will be closed at Lark St - local traffic only. (10am closure)

3.) Willett St closed – local traffic only. (10am closure)

4.) Englewood Place will be closed to traffic. (6a.m. – 6p.m.)

No Parking - Saturday, May 10 – Sunday, May 11, 2008


1.) EMERGENCY NO PARKING will be in effect on Englewood Place from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Note:
For residents whose parking is affected by the Festival, FREE PARKING is available:

1.) East Parking Garage (corner of Madison & Eagle)

• Thursday, May 8th after 4:00 PM until Friday, May 9th - 6:00 AM
• Friday, May 9th after 4:00 PM until Monday, May 12th - 6:00 AM

2.) Cathedral & Museum Visitors Lot

• May 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th - 2PM – 6AM

3.) Elk St - state lots

• Friday, May 9th after 4:00 PM until Monday, May 12th - 6:00 AM
