RENSSELAER, N.Y. -- Police officers in the city of Rensselaer will soon have a new place to call home.

The city's police department is moving to a new facility this week. The new station will be located at 201 Broadway at the site of a former post office.

Due to the moving process, the records department, which accommodates copies of reports and collects parking fines, will be closed from Wednesday until next Monday. The police department also wants to stress that there will be absolutely no break in police services to the city and anyone who needs police assistance can still call the same numbers.
