Man dies in motorcycle accident

MAYFIELD, N.Y. -- A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday in a crash in the Town of Mayfield.
According to the Fulton County Sheriff's Office, Jason Hensleigh, 25, of Corinth was heading eastbound on Route 29 and was attempting to pass a tractor trailer. He then realized that another motorcycle was approaching, so he laid his bike down in the westbound lane.
The operator of the westbound motorcycle, Thomas Ryan, 46, of Caroga Lake, was not able to stop and ran over Hensleigh, who officials said died instantly.
Ryan was taken to Nathan Littauer Hospital, then transferred to Albany Medical Center for treatment.
