CLINTON COUNTY, N.Y. -- A jury convicts a man accused of a 1993 Rouses Point car bombing.
Richard Vallee, 49, was found guilty Thursday. Vallee was arrested after a car exploded with Lee Carter Jr. inside. Carter was a witness against Vallee and other members of the Three Rivers chapter of the Hells Angels in a cocaine trafficking case.
Canadian police arrested Vallee, but he later escaped custody, remaining on the run until 2003 when police caught up with him in Montreal. Vallee faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison.
