Safe Child ID cards given out

RENSSELAER COUNTY -- The Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office will be issuing Safe Child ID cards as part of Operation Safe Child.

The cards will be given out for free between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Major George Quamo Memorial Substation which is located in the West Sand Lake Bus Garage.

The Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office will be issuing free Safe Child ID cards as part of Operation Safe Child.
Operation Safe Child is a state program that offers free child identification cards for parents.

Free gun locks will also be available today through the project.
