Albany police investigating three Central Ave. robberies

ALBANY, N.Y. -- Albany police are investigating three robberies on Central Avenue that happened within the past few days.


The most recent robbery happened around 10:20 a.m. Monday at the Trustco Bank at 163 Central Avenue. Police said a man handed the teller a note, which implied he had a gun. The teller gave him an undisclosed amount of money.

Albany police are investigating three robberies on Central Avenue that happened within the past few days.
Police said Hoffman Car Wash was robbed by three men on Sunday morning. They forced an employee at gunpoint to open two safes and made off with an unknown amount of cash and car wash coupons.

On Friday night, police said three men robbed a nearby Dunkin' Donuts at gunpoint.

No one was hurt in any of the incidents. There is no word yet on whether any of the robberies are connected.
