Cars broken into in Governors Square neighborhood

EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. -- Two young men are under arrest after a string of car break-ins early Sunday morning.


East Greenbush Police say someone in the Governors Square neighborhood noticed the young men going through parked cars and called police. Police say the men ran away from officers when they arrived minutes later. They were caught, arrested and are being held at Rensselaer County Jail.

The teens' names are not being released yet, but police tell us it's possible they stole $4,000 worth of property from several vehicles.


The investigation continues.
