Geneva woman charged in child's death

GENEVA, N.Y. -- A Geneva woman is being held without bail after pleading not guilty to criminally negligent homicide in the death of her 3 year old son. Becky Frank appeared in Ontario County Court Monday.
Police say Frank failed to place her son Shamar Jordan and his twin sister in their car seats. Shamar died after a van they were in overturned on the Thruway last July.

A grand jury indicted Frank, but in December, she failed to show up for her scheduled arraignment. Frank avoided police, until they arrested her in Rochester last Monday.
Several members of Frank's family were in court for the appearance, at which Frank broke down and cried several times. She is due back in court in August.
