Fairbank Farms, a national ground beef producer, is issuing a voluntary recall of selected ground beef products produced at its Ashville, N.Y., facility and sold through Price Chopper, Shaw’s, BJ’s, and Wilson Farms retail outlets and C&S Wholesale distributor.
The affected product may contain small pieces of hard plastic. All recalled products have a “Sell-by” date of 05/13/08 or 05/15/08 on the package’s label. The products that are being recalled include:

Consumers are encouraged to check the packaging of any of these products to determine whether they are included in the recall. Only those products that are listed above with “sell-by” dates of 05/13/08 or 05/15/08 on the packaging are included in this recall.
These products should not be consumed. They should be returned to the store where they were purchased for a full refund.
Fairbank Farms is working with its customers to initiate this voluntary recall after learning that affected product entered the marketplace.
