ALBANY, N.Y. -- A new candidate for the 21st Congressional District emerged on Friday.
Craig Burridge became the seventh Democrat to announce his candidacy. Burridge is the CEO and 15-year executive director of the Pharmacists Society of the State of New York.
He was born in Troy and has been a lifelong resident of the 21st District. While on the campaign trail, Burridge said he wants to get to know residents along the way.
The field in the race for the 21st Congressional District has been crowded for some time, but now it's even more crowded. Another democrat announced his candidacy.
"I want to be the individual who goes to the neighbors. I want the volunteers to bring me around and introduce to their neighbors, tell me what's on their mind," says Burridge.
Burridge, along with six other Democrats and two Republicans are vying for longtime Congressman Mike McNulty's seat. He is retiring at the end of his term.
