CAPITAL REGION -- You can cross one name off the list of potential candidates to replace longtime Congressman Mike McNulty.
Former candidate for state comptroller Christopher Callaghan has decided not run as a Republican candidate in the 21st Congressional district.
Callaghan has instead decided to focus on his role as a local campaign coordinator for the Republican presidential nominee John McCain.
Christopher Callaghan has confirmed that he will not be running for the 21st Congressional district seat being vacated by Congressman Mike McNulty.
At this point, no Republican has come forward as a candidate.
There's a crowded field of Democrats though, including former Clinton aide Tracey Brooks, Albany County legislator Phil Steck, Albany City employee Lester Freeman and former aide to Representative Kirsten Gillibrand, Darius Shahinfar.
