If you long for the days when Times Square was a very scary place after dark, then you'll appreciate this: Watson Adventures, an organizer of Scavenger Hunts that they describe as "walking tours on caffeine," is introducing a Haunted Times Square Hunt, for adults only.
On this hunt, the Great White Way becomes the Great Fright Way, as you learn creepy stories connected with theaters, old hotels and other eerie locales.
Other scary scavenger hunts during the Halloween season include Fright at the Museum, taking place at the American Museum of Natural History, and Ghosts of Greenwich Village, both for families with children aged seven and up. Rates range from $18.00 to $30.50.
Looking for a fright? Valarie D'Elia filed the following Travel With Val report on the best scare fests in the Tri-State area.
