Man arrested driving police chief's car

COLONIE, N.Y. -- A Colonie man is arrested after being pulled over driving the police chief's car. Colby Kendall, 19, was behind the wheel and was pulled over at the corner of Prince Court and South Wertman Lane in Colonie.


The arrest reports says Kendall had been smoking marijuana and his passenger, Nicholas Signore, 18, had about 25-grams of marijuana on him.

The two men were driving a 2006 Mazda, which was registered to Colonie Police Chief Steven Heider.

Heider tells us his stepdaughter had the car at her boyfriend's house, but was not in it at the time of the arrest.

Kendall is facing DWAI charges, and Signore is facing possession charges.
