TROY, N.Y. -- The Tri-City ValleyCats hosted Albany Night at the Joe Bruno Stadium on Monday and they were hoping they can win a game against Vermont with the help of a special lucky charm -- a Mayor Jerry Jennings bobble head.
The first 1,500 fans who made it to the game got their very own bobble head of the Albany mayor. The giveaway is the first of the ValleyCats' three-part Mayors' Bobble Head Series this season. Troy Mayor Harry Tutunjian and Schenectady Mayor Brian Stratton also have their own bobble heads.
The Tri-City ValleyCats hosted Albany Night at the Joe Bruno Stadium on Monday and they were hoping they can win a game against Vermont with the help of a special lucky charm -- a Mayor Jerry Jennings bobble head.
The ValleyCats' assistant general manager said it was hard to make the bobble head look exactly like Jennings.
Vic Christopher said, "The man is larger than life. How do you capture a personality like Jerry Jennings in a seven-inch ceramic doll? It's not easy."
