False rumors surround Greenwich boy's death

GREENWICH, N.Y. -- State Police are investigating the death of Morgan Harrington as a homicide. Investigators say any death involving a 17-year-old is suspicious.

Authorities say there are still many more interviews they need to conduct. Police are also waiting for the toxicology test results.

While investigators aren't saying much, they are ruling out at least one rumor.

leads, but I can confirm that rumor was false," said Thomas Aiken, senior investigator.

This is the fifth student death in 10 years for the Greenwich Central District, the second this year alone.

Superintendent Matt Donnelly declined an on camera interview, but he says Harrington was very well liked. Crisis intervention staff are set up for students and staff who need to talk.
