Warren County man arrested for grand larceny
WARREN COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Warren County man has been arrested for grand larceny, accused of bilking the Department of Social Services out of over $1,700.
Sheriff’s Deputies say Gerald A. Verlinger of Chestertown, received assistance from the county, and at the same time, made money working as an independent contractor. Verlinger did not report that income and continued to receive benefits.
Verlinger was booked, arraigned and released. He'll be back in court in March.
