QUEENSBURY, N.Y. -- A Queensbury teen is charged with third-degree grand larceny after police said he had stolen Visa gift cards at the store where he worked.

According to the Warren County Sheriff's Office, Jeffrey Darius, 18, had been stealing the cards from the Super K-Mart in the Town of Queensbury for the last several weeks.

Police said he would falsify the sale of the cards and would then activate them for use. He was found to have activated the cards to have a balance of about $8,000.

Darius was arraigned and released on his own recognizance.
