Students/staff participate in Hoops for Hunger

By: Web Staff

SCHODACK, N.Y. -- Dozens of people hit the hardwood Saturday night all in the name of charity. Students and staff from all three Schodack schools participated in a charity basketball game.

Every year faculty and staff donate to local charities, but this year, one teacher decided to take a different approach.

"I just sent out an email to all of Schodack and said, anybody interested in raising money in a different way and have fun with it. I'm really happy with the turn out,” said Jason Derby, technology teacher.

All the money raised from "Hoops for Hunger" will go to local families to help them through the upcoming holidays.
