Anti-smoking groups want taxes on Native American tobacco sales

NEW YORK STATE -- Officials with the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association and American Lung Association are working to convince Governor David Paterson to pass a bill that would allow the state to tax tobacco products sold on Indian reservations.

A "tobacco tax ticker" will be unveiled that counts the amount of money the groups claim the state is losing every second when tobacco products are sold tax free on Indian reservations.
