Body found burning in the roadway in Bethlehem
BETHLEHEM, N.Y. -- Bethlehem police are investigating the discovery of burned human remains in the roadway Tuesday morning.
Around 11:30 a.m., a woman called to report what she believed to be a human or mannequin burning in the road at the intersection of Barent Winne Road and Cedar Road in the Town of Bethlehem.

Members of the Bethlehem Police Department and the Selkirk Fire Department responded and extinguished what was determined to be the body of a 39-year-old man from Menands.
A vehicle associated with the man was found near the Hudson River, less than a half mile from where the remains were located.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday morning.
