EAST GLENVILLE, N.Y. -- A quick public service note to pass along. Telephone service is out for as many as 2,000 Verizon telephone customers in East Glenville. The Schenectady County Office of Emergency Management says it's due to a crash on Route 50.

Officials say the outage is also affecting land-line emergency 911 service for those living in the Route 50 - East Glenville area.

Telephone service may be out until Wednesday afternoon.
