Woman charged with stealing from Pop Warner team
COEYMANS, N.Y. -- Coeymans Police have arrested a woman for stealing more than $19,000 from the Ravena-Mid-Hudson Pop Warner Football League.
Leslie Duell, 35, was one of two treasures at the Football League. She has been accused of forging the signatures of the other treasurer and making checks out to herself or cash instead of directly to vendors.
Police say the stolen money came to the attention of officials after the bank noticed unusual activity with the leagues account without the league presidents approval.
