Two arrests made in two separate animal abuse cases

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, N.Y. -- Two reported cases of animal abuse in Montgomery County land two people behind bars.

In the first incident, the sheriff’s department said it seized four Australian Shepherd’s from an abandoned mobile home owned by Julie Sonner.

She was arrested after police said they found the dogs living without any food or water.

In the second case, Spenser Harford was arrested after sheriffs deputies searched his farm, and found five pigs living in unsafe conditions.

Officials said they were also living with out food and water, in a dilapidated barn. Three dead chickens were also discovered on the property.
