ALBANY, N.Y. -- Democratic Congressional hopeful Tracey Brooks received major endorsements today from Albany Mayor Jerry Jennings and other party officials.

Brooks is running for the seat of outgoing Congressman Mike McNulty in the 21st Congressional District.

Mayor Jennings said, "I am proud to endorse Tracey Brooks to replace Mike McNulty for Congress because she has the best combination of experience working in the District, grassroots work in the community and knowledge of the issues most important to us in the City of Albany and the Capital Region."

Brooks said, "I am truly honored and thankful to have the support of Mayor Jennings and so many officials and party leaders from Albany. But I'm also honored to have the support of leaders throughout the district. Like Congressman McNulty, I will work hard for all the communities in our District, from Albany to Amsterdam, from Schenectady County to Schoharie County and all places in between."
