Palin rumored to be preparing for RNC speech in Minnesota

By: Web Staff

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- There's word from the McCain campaign that Alaska's Governor Sarah Palin is in the Twin Cities getting ready for her speech.

We spoke with the Chariman of "McCain for President" from New York State, Ed Cox, who said Governor Sarah Palin reminds him of Richard Nixon's fit on the republican ticket back in 1952. Although Palin has little foreign policy experience, Cox believes she'll be able to learn on the job.

"Like President Nixon, when he was Vice President, like Dwight Eisenhower, had not that much experience on the world. And he learned, as did Harry Truman. He made some of the best decisions that were made by any president of the United States when he ordered the Berlin airlift against the advice from all his advisors," Cox said.

So far, no public events have been scheduled for Governor Palin. She has been in the headlines though, after the McCain campaign released a statement from Palin and her husband Todd, saying their 17-year-old daughter is pregnant. The couple also says the unmarried teen plans to keep her baby and marry the baby's father.
