ALBANY, N.Y. -- The reaction to the news is far reaching. Albany Mayor Jerry Jennings weighed in on Joe Bruno's announcement and had nothing but praise for Brunos 30-plus years at the state Capitol.

"It's sad day for me and the Capitol Region and really, Joe has been a friend to all of us here and I think people are going to realize, after he's gone, the impact he's had on this whole region, Saratoga County,

Rensselaer County and upstate New York. He has been there for all of us, he's professional, a good man to work with. He understands the importance of working together, regardless of political afflation. We're going to miss him, there's no doubt we're going to miss him," Jennings said.
