By: Web Staff

NEW YORK STATE -- Senator Hillary Clinton made her first public appearance since she ended her campaign for president. Clinton gave a commencement address at Pelham Preparatory Academy's graduation ceremony in the Bronx. Clinton chose to give the speech because one of the graduates has worked on her campaigns for years, as well as those of former President Bill Clinton.

Senator Clinton told graduates her campaign set an example of what is possible in our country.

"I've just finished the most extraordinary experience anyone could possibly have. Being able to travel around our county, this great sprawling diverse country, from one end to the other, meeting thousands and thousands of people who want a better life for themselves and their families who believe with all their heart in the American dream," Clinton said.

Clinton has largely stayed out of the public eye since conceding the Democratic nomination to Barack Obama on June 7th. She is scheduled to meet with Obama and top fundraisers on Thursday before the two campaign together Friday.
