Stone tipped FBI to Spitzer’s involvement in prostitution ring
NEW YORK STATE -- The New York Post is reporting that a controversial former Republican consultant was the one who tipped off the FBI about Governor Spitzer's involvement with a prostitution ring.
The paper says that in a letter Roger Stone provided the FBI, with detailed information about Spitzer. It is not clear how Stone knew of the Governor's indiscretions.
You may remember that the State Republican party cut ties with Stone last August after he left a threatening message on Spitzer's 83-year-old father's voicemail.

Stone has denied making the call. He says that his voice was doctored through wire taps. This happened during the height of last summer's Troopergate scandal, involving Senator Joe Bruno's use of state police helicopters.
