Learn to play poker like a pro with "Poker For Dummies"
Video game novices really have no excuse now that Electronic Arts has teamed up with the people behind the Dummies books to make Games for Dummies.
The first title that went on sale, "Poker for Dummies, Featuring Texas Hold 'Em" allows PC users trying to become poker sharks to learn from step one, all the way through to etiquette, and then strategies. After each tutorial, the game even offers up a quiz to help you make sure you understood what you just learned.
Then, one you get to the table, you can play in practice mode, which offers up tips as you go; then, you can graduate to the real game. The title also helps teach Omaha-style and Seven Card Stud.

"Poker for Dummies," which is rated T for Teen, is for PCs only. Players will have to ante up $20 for a copy. While several other Dummies titles are in the works, the two others available now are "Brain Training," also for the PC, and "Travel Games," for the Nintendo DS.
Lara Croft is back in the eighth version of the legendary "Tomb Raider" franchise. The latest installment is "Tomb Raider: Underworld."
Even though the game picks up where the last one, "Legend," left off, "Underworld" is designed to be the most accessible to date, with features like field assistance which, when you reach that frustrating, controller throwing, getting ready to quit the game for good moment, gives you a hint on what to do next. Like predecessors though, this one promises to leave no page unstamped in your virtual passport.
"The storyline is based on Norse mythology and it's based on Lara Croft's attempt to find the truth behind Thor's hammer, the God of Thunder," explains Alison Carroll, the live action Lara Croft. "We're visiting all over the place. We're going to Thailand, Mexico, the Mediterranean, and the Arctic; so, we're going all over the globe."
Though the environments are more detailed than ever, don't plan on doing any site seeing – navigating the dark surroundings will often times be your biggest challenge. "Tomb Raider: Underworld," for the PC, PS2, PS3, XBOX360 and Wii, will cost anywhere between $30 and $60. The title is rated T for Teen.
