Capital Holidays Lights in the Park is open at Albany’s Washington Park. It’ll jump start your Christmas season and it opens each night at 6 p.m.
With the kids off the rest of the weekend, there are some family things happening.
The Albany Institute of History and Art has a Family Day on Friday at 1:30 p.m.
The River Rats are home Friday and Saturday.
There is some municipal spirit as well as Cohoes lights their Christmas tree Saturday at 7 p.m. at Silliman Park.
Waterford’s Christmas parade happened at 6 p.m. on Saturday, starting at Broad Street.
This Saturday and Sunday, the New York State Museum has chocolate factory fun at 11 a.m.
Watch for the Festival of Trees on Friday at the Schenectady YMCA. It’s being staged by the Schenectady County Historical Society and runs this weekend and next
