Deadline passes for free Inauguration Day ticket lottery
ALBANY, N.Y. -- Inauguration Day is drawing near and soon we'll know who will be heading down to the historic event.
If you were hoping to see President-elect Barack Obama for free, hopefully you've already signed up. Sunday was the deadline to enter into Senator Chuck Schumer's ticket lottery.
Three hundred fifty lucky people who signed up on Schumer's website before Sunday’s deadline will be selected in a blind lottery on Friday. Those winners will get free tickets to the inauguration in January.

Both Schumer and Congresswoman Kirsten Gillibrand have 198 tickets each. Their offices say they've both gotten more than 1,000 requests for tickets. According to her website, Gillibrand's office has also stopped taking requests because of the high demand.
