Teacher pleads guilty to rape
FULTON COUNTY, N.Y. -- A plea agreement has been reached in the case of a teacher accused of raping a former student.
Elizabeth Munn, an eighth grade social studies teacher at Broadalbin-Perth Middle School, was charged with having sex with a 15-year-old boy back in September. Under the plea deal, Munn will spend six months in the Fulton County Jail and will surrender her teaching license. She'll also resign from the school and register as a level one sex offender.
The Fulton County DA pursued the rape charge because the 15-year-old was too young to consent, even though the sex was voluntary.
