On Thursday, the State Supreme Court Appellate division overturned the murder conviction of a Marine reservist. A jury found 28-year-old Kevin Murphy guilty in the 2006 killing of a man during a fight on Hudson Avenue in Albany.
Even though Murphy asked for a lawyer during questioning by Albany Police, a recording of a phone call he made to his family while he was in custody was played during the trial.
