ALBANY, N.Y. -- Albany Law School is remembering domestic violence victims in recognition of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

A vigil was held at the campus Wednesday night to help raise awareness about domestic violence in the Capital Region. It was part of the Shine the Light on Domestic Violence program. Karla DiGirolamo of Unity House spoke at the event.

Following a brief ceremony, the law school campus was illuminated with purple lights. Students and faculty members also wore purple pins and clothing to show their support.
