Fatal crash on Route 9W

GREENE COUNTY, N.Y. -- New York State Police and the Greene County Sheriff's Office are investigating a fatal crash in the Town of New Baltimore.
Investigators said Brian Haight, 24, of Freehold drifted into oncoming traffic on Route 9W and hit a tractor trailer head-on. Haight was pronounced dead at the scene.
The tractor trailer driver, Warren Belknap of Coxsackie, was taken to Albany Medical Center for back and neck injuries.
The accident shut down parts of Route 9W for hours, causing traffic to be diverted.
Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the crash.
