Two arrested for helping Sharon murder suspect

SHARON, N.Y. -- Two women are facing charges after police said they fled New York State with Gerry King after the murder of his father in Schoharie County.
State Police said King, alone with his girlfriend, Joleen Henderson, 36, her 13-year-old son, and her mother, Alice Williams, 72, left the area on Nov. 16 after the death of George King, 63, of Sharon who died from blunt force trauma.
Troopers had developed information on King and were looking for him when they discovered he had left the state with Henderson and Williams in Williams' vehicle.
Henderson and Williams are both charged with first-degree hindering prosecution. Henderson is also charged with fourth-degree conspiracy, tampering of physical evidence and endangering the welfare of a child.
Both women were arraigned in the Town of Sharon. Williams was released on her own recognizance, and Henderson was sent to the Schoharie County Jail on $25,000 cash bail.
King faces a second-degree murder charge.
